How to get to Alta Badia/Val Badia without a car – Hotel Störes
Straight to the Störes
We never know exactly where life might take us, so it’s worth taking the wheel in our own hands every now and then and heading for new destinations. A little tip from us: a visit to the Störes in Val Badia is always worthwhile* – it’s best to decide for yourself whether you want to go by car or public transport.
* You can probably not get enough of the impressive natural scenery during your journey.
Our hotel is in a quiet location at 1,535 m above sea level in San Cassiano – only 400 m from the village centre and 250 m from the gondola lift.

Coming from the north and south via the A22 Brenner autobahn to the Brixen-Vahrn exit, continue on the SS 49 Val Pusteria national road in the direction of Brunico to San Lorenzo. Turn onto national road 244 and follow the road to La Villa, turn left there again and follow the LS 37 to San Cassiano. At the end of the village centre turn left into Strada Plan, Hotel Störes is on the left side of the road.
Coming from East Tyrol – Lienz via the B100 Drautalstraße and the SS49 Val Pusteria national road to Brunico and on to San Lorenzo. Turn onto national road 244 and follow the road to La Villa, turn left there again and follow the LS 37 to San Cassiano. At the end of the village centre turn left into Strada Plan, Hotel Störes is on the left side of the road.
Coming from Venice via the A 27 motorway and the SS 51 to Pieve di Cadore and on to Cortina d’Ampezzo. Via the SR 48 up to the Falzarego Pass and via the SP24 Valparola Pass and the LS 37 to San Cassiano, turn right there into the Strada Plan. Hotel Störes is on the left side of the street.
By train to the train station in San Lorenzo, change to bus line 460 to Stern. Here change again to bus line 465 to the San Cassiano/Bertostraße stop. Continue on foot to the roundabout, turn onto Strada Frëina and then right onto Strada Plan. Hotel Störes is located after 200 m on the right side of the road.
